In a bizarre partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized release, "A strange meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot features a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Transformations
The teaser features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
